In the 1980’s  the company introduced a  volumetric on site mixer into the fleet.  Specifically targeting the small delivery market. These road going vehicles arrive at site with the ingredients and mix the exact quantity on site. The benefits are two fold. One is that the customer can get two different mixes or even different workability loads from the same visit. The other is that the exact quantity is batched on site, mixing the at the job means there is no shortfall or unwanted concrete to either ‘find a home for’ or pay to have removed. Also you do not have to pay for wasted capacity on the delivery vehicle. Ideal if you dont know how much you want! The vehicles can bring up to 6 cubic metres before having to go to reload.
